Malta – Gozo – Comino
The territory of malta emerges from the undersea continental shelf of Sicily, part of the plaque of Africa.
Malta is an archipelago in the heart of the Mediterra- nean Sea. The east bays, wider and deeper than the others, are those of Mellieha, St Paul’s, Saint Julian’s, Marsamxett and Grand Harbour (between those two, separate from the promontory of Gebel Xiberras, lies the port of Valletta), the colours are striking, honey-co- loured stone against the deepest of Mediterranean blues. Malta is holidaying as the mood takes you.
And with near year-round sun, you can indulge in outdoor living at its best. The Island of Gozo comes complete with historical sites, forts and amazing panoramas. The smaller island of Comino is a paradise for snorkelers, divers, and windsurfers. The island’s main attraction is the Blue lagoon very popular for day-trippers.
